Description:
The Sloughi is a rare and elegant North African sighthound, traditionally used for hunting game across desert terrain. Closely related to the Saluki, it is prized for its speed, stamina, and grace. Aloof with strangers but deeply bonded to its family, the Sloughi is quiet, clean, and sensitive. It needs early socialisation, secure freedom to run, and a calm, respectful environment.

Best Suited For:

  • Experienced owners with secure outdoor space
  • Homes seeking a graceful, low-shedding, and loyal companion
  • Owners interested in sighthound behaviour and breed preservation

Less Suitable For:

  • First-time owners unfamiliar with independent or sensitive breeds
  • Homes with unsecured gardens or small pets
  • Environments requiring constant obedience or high sociability
