Breeder Account Terms

Version 1.0 – 27 June 2025

1. Definitions

“We” / “us” / “our” – My Licensed Breeder Ltd (company number 13582390, registered office 12 Jordan Street, Liverpool. L1 0AH).

“Site” – https://licensedbreeder.co.uk and any sub‑domains.

“Licensed Breeder” – a person or entity that opens an account on the Site and claims or manages a breeder Listing.

2. Eligibility & Verification

You must be 18 years or older and hold a current dog‑breeding licence issued by your local authority.

When you open an account you must provide:

a. your licence number and issuing authority;
b. identity evidence via Stripe Identity – we receive only the pass/fail token.

We will verify licence details with the issuing authority and may repeat the check at any time.

If your licence expires, is suspended or revoked you must notify us within 48 hours and remove any adverts.

3. Plans, Fees & Payment

Claimed Listing – £25 per year. Claim and manage one directory Listing. Auto‑renews annually unless cancelled.

Licensed Breeder Membership – £11.99 per month. All of the above plus member benefits and the ability to advertise litters registered in The Digital PawPrint. Auto‑renews monthly unless cancelled.

Fees are payable in advance via Stripe. Your chosen plan starts when the payment succeeds.

No refunds are offered once a payment has been taken.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel a plan at any time in your account dashboard or by emailing support. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

If you cancel Membership your litter adverts will be removed on the cancellation date and your Listing will revert to the unclaimed, public‑only version on the next renewal date.

5. Listing Content & Conduct Rules

All information you publish must be accurate, complete and kept up‑to‑date.

No third‑party content: you may upload only text and images that you own or have authority to use.

A litter advert:

may be placed only by Membership holders;

must relate to a litter registered in The Digital PawPrint so that we can verify parentage and welfare data;

must show the licence number and issuing authority.

You must not publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, or that promotes poor animal welfare practices.

6. Compliance, Suspension & Removal

We may suspend or remove your account, Listing or litter advert immediately if:

we become aware that your licence is invalid or has lapsed;

we receive substantiated complaints or evidence of animal‑welfare breaches;

you fail to pay fees when due;

you breach these Terms.

Where reasonably possible we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy, except where we believe immediate action is required to protect animal welfare or Site users.

7. Marketing Communications

We may email you about our own similar services under the soft‑opt‑in rule. You can opt out at any time in your dashboard or via the unsubscribe link. We will send third‑party marketing only with your explicit consent.

8. Intellectual‑Property Licence & Warranty

You retain copyright in the materials you upload but grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, display and distribute them on the Site and in our promotional material.

You warrant that you own all rights in your content and that its publication will not infringe any third‑party rights.

9. Liability & Indemnity

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, our total aggregate liability to you is capped at £500 or the total fees you have paid to us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is higher.

You indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from (a) the inaccuracy or illegality of your Listing or adverts, or (b) breach of these Terms.

10. Termination & Data Retention

On termination of your account we will retain Listing data, verification logs and payment records for six years to meet legal and audit obligations, after which they will be securely deleted.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms by posting an updated version and emailing you 30 days’ notice. Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. We may agree to alternative dispute resolution before court proceedings.
