Birkenhead Kennels

Friends of Birkenhead Kennels (FOBK) is a community-driven charity founded in 2011 in response to a public outcry against the threatened closure of Birkenhead Kennels. Demonstrating the power of collective action, FOBK successfully petitioned the local council and has since become a cornerstone of animal welfare on the Wirral. Since 2014, FOBK has been entrusted with the responsibility of running the borough’s stray dog service and managing the Birkenhead kennel facility. We are dedicated to reuniting lost dogs with their owners, providing safe haven for strays, and promoting responsible pet ownership. Our work is made possible by the unwavering support of our community, volunteers, and donors.
