Description:
Despite its name, the Tibetan Terrier is not a true terrier. It was bred as a companion and watchdog in Tibetan monasteries, as well as a herder and all-purpose farm dog. Cheerful, agile, and intelligent, it forms strong bonds with its family and is alert without being overly reactive. The breed is known for its distinctive “snowshoe” feet and flowing coat.

  • Active families or individuals seeking a loyal and affectionate dog
  • Owners committed to regular grooming and training
  • Homes with a secure garden and time for interaction

Less Suitable For:

  • Owners unprepared for coat maintenance
  • Sedentary households
  • Environments where the dog would be left alone frequently
