About Us

WELCOME TO CASTLELODGE COCKER SPANIELS, LABRADORS & MINIATURE LONG HAIRED DACHSHUNDS 🐾

Welcome to our page! 🤎

We are a small, family-run in-home breeders and show exhibitors based in the rolling hills of Shropshire, specialising in Show Cocker Spaniels, Labradors & Miniature Long Haired Dachshunds, where our dogs are first and foremost cherished members of our family.

Our dogs and puppies are raised in our busy family home, surrounded by children, our other dogs and everyday family life, giving them lots of love, handling and experiences from the very beginning. 🏡🐶

Health, temperament and responsible breeding are incredibly important to us. We health test our dogs and carefully plan each litter, with the aim of producing happy, healthy puppies with wonderful temperaments who can become much-loved family members.

🧬 HEALTH TESTING

We are committed to comprehensive health testing across our breeds, including:

🤎 BVA Eye Testing
🧬 Full breed-specific DNA testing
🦴 Hip & elbow scoring for our Labradors
🐾 IVDD screening for our Dachshunds

For our Dachshunds, IVDD screening is an important part of our breeding programme, alongside their breed-specific DNA and eye testing.

Alongside breeding, we also enjoy showing our dogs, so you’ll see plenty about us including, show days, behind-the-scenes moments and, of course, lots of puppy spam! 🏆🐾
