I had arranged to view Oakley on the Wednesday and made it clear I was very interested. My son even arranged a day off work so he could travel with me.
On the Sunday, I was still being told the puppy was available. Then, on Monday morning, when I asked for directions so I could let the breeder know my estimated arrival time, I was simply told that Oakley had already been sold.
At no point was I told there was another interested buyer or that I needed to make a decision quickly. Instead, I was left making arrangements and waiting, only to find out the puppy had already gone. It left me feeling as though I was being kept as a backup in case the first sale fell through.
I was then offered younger puppies instead, which did not address the poor communication or the disappointment caused.
Based on my experience, communication was poor and I did not feel I was treated with honesty or consideration. I hope future buyers are kept fully informed so they can make plans without being let down at the last minute.
